About

Animal Wellness is an independent blog about the everyday health of dogs and cats. We write for people who live with a pet and want clear, careful information: what is normal, what to watch for, what you can sensibly do at home, and when it is time to pick up the phone and call a vet.

What we cover

  • Dogs and cats: the signs owners notice at home, from limping and itching to a cat that has gone quiet.
  • Nutrition: body condition, feeding habits, food labels and the common foods that are dangerous to pets.
  • Preventive care: vaccines, parasites and dental care, explained in general terms.
  • Behavior: anxiety, litter box trouble and other problems, with kind, practical ways to help.
  • Senior pets: keeping older animals comfortable and spotting the changes that matter.

Every guide ends with a section called “When to call your vet”, including the emergency signs that mean you should go straight away.

What we are not

In short: Animal Wellness is not a registered charity or veterinary practice, and it is not connected to the organization that previously used this domain. We want to be plain about this, because the name of the web address could suggest otherwise:

  • Animal Wellness is not a registered charity, foundation or nonprofit. We do not ask for, accept or process donations of any kind. If anyone asks you to donate in our name, it is not us.
  • We are not a veterinary practice. We do not examine animals, give individual advice, prescribe or sell anything. The people who write here are not presenting themselves as vets.
  • We are not connected to the organization that previously used this domain. The address animalwellnessfoundation.com was used by a different, unrelated organization in the past. This site has no link to it, its staff or its services, and any old appointments, records or donations cannot be handled here.

Who writes it

Guides are published under the name of the Animal Wellness Desk, the small editorial team behind the site. We do not invent author names, credentials or pet stories. You can read exactly how a guide is put together, including our use of AI drafting tools, on Sources and standards.
